NAMUR NE 43 limits in m

Current (mA)Value (m)Meaning
3.6-0.125Failure signal, downscale (≤ 3.6 mA)
3.8-0.0625Lower measuring limit (3.8 mA)
20.55.15625Upper measuring limit (20.5 mA)
21.05.3125Failure signal, upscale (≥ 21 mA)

Formula

PV = 0 + (I − 4) / 16 × 5 m

Example: a reading of 13.6 mA corresponds to 3 m. Going the other way, 3.75 m corresponds to 16 mA.
