NAMUR NE 43 limits in °C

Current (mA)Value (°C)Meaning
3.6-3.75Failure signal, downscale (≤ 3.6 mA)
3.8-1.875Lower measuring limit (3.8 mA)
20.5154.688Upper measuring limit (20.5 mA)
21.0159.375Failure signal, upscale (≥ 21 mA)

Formula

PV = 0 + (I − 4) / 16 × 150 °C

Example: a reading of 13.6 mA corresponds to 90 °C. Going the other way, 112.5 °C corresponds to 16 mA.
