What happens when you visit
Hosting and delivery. The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address, the requested address, browser type and time of the request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Page statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and loading performance without cookies and without identifying or tracking individual visitors across sites.
Usage events. To learn which calculators are useful, the site sends small anonymous events (for example “calculation done”, “PDF report opened”, “link copied”) to our own endpoint. An event contains the event type, the page, the language, the tool and the country derived by Cloudflare from the request. It contains no IP address, no identifier, no cookie and none of the values you type; for the quick search only the kind of answer is recorded, never the text. Events are aggregated and kept for a limited period (Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine keeps data for three months). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, no events are sent. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the tools (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts and scripts. Fonts and the site’s scripts are served from sensorcatalog.com itself; no requests go to Google Fonts or other font services. The only third-party script is Cloudflare’s Web Analytics beacon described above.
What stays on your device
The site stores some data in your browser’s local storage so it works the way you left it: your inputs per calculator, the °C/°F choice, recent and saved calculations, PDF report fields (project, names, document number, notes) and pasted batch readings. This data is never sent to us. A service worker keeps a copy of pages you visited so the calculators work offline. You can delete all of it at any time by clearing the site data for sensorcatalog.com in your browser. Saved calculations can also be removed or exported on the home page.
Links to other sites
Buttons below the calculators link to SensorSpan for sensor inquiries. The link contains the technical parameters of your calculation, such as element type, range or thread, and a link that reopens the calculation; it contains no personal data. SensorSpan and other linked sites have their own privacy policies.
Advertising
No advertising is shown at present. If advertising is introduced, for example through Google AdSense, we will update this policy before it goes live. Where advertising would use cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first through a consent banner, as required in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and you will be able to refuse or withdraw consent at any time.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States and participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers are also covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data about you, ask us to restrict processing, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Because we do not collect identifying data ourselves, we will usually have nothing to show, but we will answer every request. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The site is a technical reference for professionals and is not directed at children.

We will update this page when the site changes, for example before any advertising is shown. The date below shows the latest version.
