NAMUR NE 43 limits in °C

Current (mA)Value (°C)Meaning
3.6-2.5Failure signal, downscale (≤ 3.6 mA)
3.8-1.25Lower measuring limit (3.8 mA)
20.5103.125Upper measuring limit (20.5 mA)
21.0106.25Failure signal, upscale (≥ 21 mA)

Formula

PV = 0 + (I − 4) / 16 × 100 °C

Example: a reading of 13.6 mA corresponds to 60 °C. Going the other way, 75 °C corresponds to 16 mA.
